Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22/08/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Delia Katy (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit deliakaty.com (the “Site”) or get in touch with me. I’m committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

I operate as an individual content creator, not a registered company. Wherever this policy refers to “we,” it means me, Delia Katy.

If you’re contacting me from outside the UK, I still apply these same standards to your data regardless of where you’re based.

1. Who I am

Delia Katy UGC Creator Email: delia.doorey@outlook.com Website: deliakaty.com

I am the data controller for any personal data collected through this Site.

2. What Personal Data I Collect

I keep the data I collect to a minimum. The Site collects personal data in the following ways:

Contact form and email enquiries. When you use the contact form or email me directly, I collect your name, email address, and the content of your message, along with anything else you choose to include (such as your brand or company name).

Automatically collected technical data. Like most websites, this Site’s hosting provider automatically logs some technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed. This is standard server activity and is used only for security, troubleshooting and keeping the Site running properly.

Embedded video content. Portfolio videos on this Site are embedded from YouTube. If you click play on a video, YouTube (operated by Google) may set its own cookies and collect data about your device and viewing activity, in line with Google’s own privacy policy — see Section 6 below.

I do not currently use analytics or advertising tracking tools (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel) on this Site. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect it before any such tool goes live.

I do not collect payment information through this Site, and there are no user accounts or logins.

3. How I Use Your Data

I use the personal data collected through the contact form solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry or collaboration request
  • Discuss potential brand partnerships and content projects
  • Keep a record of our correspondence for my own business purposes

I do not use your contact details for marketing emails, and I do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, I rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — when you voluntarily submit the contact form, you are consenting to me processing that information to respond to you.
  • Legitimate interests — for basic technical/security logging carried out by my hosting provider, and for keeping records of business enquiries.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me (see Section 8) and asking me to delete your enquiry data.

5. Cookies

This Site uses only the minimal cookies necessary for it to function (for example, cookies WordPress may set if you’re logged in as an administrator). It does not use analytics or advertising cookies of its own.

If you play an embedded YouTube video, YouTube may set its own third-party cookies at that point — this only happens if you actively click to play a video, not automatically on page load.

6. Third-Party Services

I use a small number of third-party services to run this Site, each of which may process data independently under their own privacy policies:

  • YouTube / Google — for embedded portfolio videos. https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Google Fonts — used to display the Site’s typography. Font files may be served from Google’s servers. https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Email delivery provider — enquiries submitted through the contact form are delivered to my inbox via an email sending service (currently a Gmail-connected SMTP relay). Google’s privacy policy applies to this processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Web hosting provider — 123-Reg hosts this Site and processes technical/server log data as described in Section 2.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EU (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, they are required to provide appropriate safeguards for your data, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How Long I Keep Your Data

I keep contact form enquiries and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the relationship or respond to your enquiry — typically no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless I’m legally required to keep it longer or you ask me to delete it sooner.

Technical server logs are retained by my hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes, in line with their own retention policy.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict how I use your data
  • Object to me processing your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email me at hello@fancyphoenix.com. I’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk.

9. Children’s Privacy

This Site is intended for brands, marketers and business contacts, and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if I start using a new tool or service on the Site. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date at the top.

11. Contact Me
